Raised in England, became Europeanised at the first career
opportunity. Now firmly Helveticised too, right down to
having paid tax in lieu of military service.
Worked many years in datacomms software support, maintenance and documentation.
Hence the realisation that, being conversant in both tech-speak and natural languages, there might be an interesting future in mediating between them.
Made a virtue from a growing sense of unemployability by
turning fully freelance in 1997. Still going strong, catering to a select and growing band of direct customers in advertising, engineering and commerce, plus a potpourri of others through indirect channels.

Vieljährige Erfahrung mit Datenkommunikations-Software Support, Unterhalt und Dokumentation führte zur Idee, als Maschinen- sowie Menschensprachen-Kenner zwischen diesen Welten zu
vermitteln.
Machte in 1997 den Quantensprung in die berufliche Selbstständigkeit. Immer noch erfolgreich präsent als Übersetzer und Texter für direkte
Kunden der Werbe-, Technologie- und Handelsbranche, sowie vielen anderen auf indirekten Wegen.
